White Russian

White Russian cocktail flexitarian blog

White Russian – a cocktail made from vodka, coffee liqueur and cream, served over  ice in an old-fashioned glass.

The White Russian cocktail is so named due to vodka being the primary ingredient. The first mention of a White Russian cocktail was in California’s Oakland Tribune on November 21, 1965, but it could have been invented as far back as the late 1940s, as a variant of the Belgian-originated Black Russian.
